Ramayana Races Past 1 Lakh Tickets In National Chains As Ranbir Kapoor And Yash’s Film Eyes Rs 75 Crore Day One

The box office heat around Ramayana is building fast. More than 1 lakh tickets have already been sold in the top national chains for the Ranbir Kapoor and Yash starrer, a clear early sign that the film is shaping up as one of the biggest theatrical events of the festive period ahead of its November 5 release.

As of Sunday morning, Ramayana had sold 1,07,562 tickets across PVR INOX and Cinepolis. PVR INOX alone has contributed 96,645 tickets, while Cinepolis stands at 10,917. For a film still days away from release, that number gives it a strong base before the final stretch of bookings begins.

Advance Sales Gather Real Momentum

What makes the current trend significant is the pace at which the bookings have moved while the film still has considerable runway left before release. Early momentum at this level gives Ramayana the chance to build sharply in the final week, especially once the widest audience base starts locking in festive viewing plans.

The early sales also point to broad audience curiosity around the scale of the film and its casting. Big-ticket event titles often rely on a last-minute surge to push opening day numbers into the top bracket, and Ramayana now has the kind of head start that allows exactly that possibility. If the booking curve holds through the mid-week window, the film could enter release day with exceptional pre-release traction.

Rs 75 Crore Day One Target Comes Into View

With the advance booking trend moving at this pace, Ramayana is now targeting a Rs 75 crore opening day in India. That would place it among the biggest day one starts for a Hindi release and instantly establish the film as a major box office force from its first show.

The final number will depend on how strongly the momentum spreads beyond the top national chains in the days ahead. But crossing the 1 lakh ticket milestone this early has already given the film a powerful launchpad. The focus now shifts to whether the last phase of bookings can convert strong early interest into a truly massive opening.

Cast, Director And Release Scale

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana brings together Ranbir Kapoor, Yash and Sai Pallavi in one of the most ambitious mythological productions mounted for the Hindi screen. The project is backed by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios in association with DNEG and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations, a scale that is clearly being reflected in the film’s theatrical rollout and pricing strategy.

That scale is central to the current booking story. Films mounted at this level depend on event-value perception, and the response so far suggests Ramayana is connecting with audiences as a big-screen spectacle rather than a routine release. With several days of advance sales still to come, the booking momentum now has room to climb further and strengthen the film’s opening-day prospects even more.
