About The Film
Directed by Sandeep Kewlani and Abhishek Anil Kapur, Sky Force is a patriotic action film based on India’s retaliation against Pakistan’s Sargodha airbase during the 1965 Indo-Pakistani war. The film is perfectly timed, releasing just before Republic Day, and has been well-received by those looking for a thrilling tribute to India’s military history.
However, Sky Force faces tough competition at the box office. It is currently up against Ramayana: The Legend of Prince Rama and Daaku Maharaaj, with another big film, Deva, starring Shahid Kapoor, set to release in the second week of February.
The film has been praised for its action-packed sequences and strong performances. Akshay Kumar plays Wing Commander KO Ahuja, while Veer Pahariya portrays Squadron Leader TK Vijaya. The trailer has received positive feedback, and the inclusion of Lata Mangeshkar’s iconic song “Ae Mere Watan Ke Logon” adds to the emotional impact of the film.
Akshay Kumar’s choice to star in patriotic films continues with Sky Force. His past roles in films like Airlift, Kesari, Mission Mangal, and Gold have established his reputation as Bollywood’s go-to actor for such roles, celebrating India’s military strength and history.
