The original director Priyadarshan will direct the much-anticipated third instalment. The news has gone viral after the recent announcement and fans worldwide are eagerly waiting for what’s next. After months of speculation, it has been revealed that the film will begin production in December 2025.
Hera Pheri 3 Shooting Begins From Dec 2025
In a Pinkvilla report, sources have revealed that the original trio will start shooting the first schedule of the movie during that time.
Priyadarshan is currently busy with Bhooth Bangla and will complete post-production by June 2025. After that, he’ll focus on the script for Hera Pheri 3 to ensure the film meets the expectations of its legendary franchise.
The source said that the team is fully aware of how big Hera Pheri is and they are focused on delivering an even more laughter-packed experience than ever before.
The film will enter production after six months of preparation, which includes finalising the script and making sure the story is just right.
Film To Be Shot For 6 Months From Dec-May 2026
The team has already laid the groundwork for the film. The character arcs for Raju, Shyam, and Baburao are in place. The next step is polishing the script to ensure it does justice to these iconic characters. The shooting is planned to take six months, from December 2025 to May 2026, with a release scheduled for 2027.
What makes this even more exciting is that 2027 will mark Akshay Kumar’s 60th birthday, and Hera Pheri 3 will serve as a special gift for his fans. “This film will be his return gift to all his fans and well-wishers in such a landmark year of his life,” added the source.
Fans have been waiting for Hera Pheri 3 for years. The love and demand from the audience have pushed Akshay Kumar to make it happen. He worked hard behind the scenes to resolve the intellectual property issues that were holding the project back.
