Filmmaker Priyadarshan is officially returning to the director’s chair for the highly anticipated Hera Pheri 3. The announcement was made on January 30 on the filmmaker’s birthday.

Akshay Kumar shared his birthday wishes with Priyadarshan, who then revealed the surprise on Instagram. He shared a photo on his IG story and wrote, “Thank you so much for your wishes @akshaykumar. In return, I would like to give you a gift. I’m willing to do Hera Pheri 3. Are you ready Akshay, @suniel.shetty & @pareshrawalofficial?”
This marks the return of the iconic trio Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, and Suniel Shetty in the next instalment of the beloved franchise. Fans have been eagerly waiting for this confirmation, especially since a mock shoot picture had surfaced online in 2023, but no official update followed.
Now, with Priyadarshan’s own announcement, excitement has reached a whole new level.

The two are currently shooting for their horror-comedy film Bhooth Bangla.
The director-actor duo has a long history of successful collaborations, including cult classics like Hera Pheri (2000), Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007), Khatta Meetha (2010), and Bhagam Bhag (2006). Fans are thrilled to see them team up once again for Hera Pheri 3, which promises to bring back the comedic magic that made the original film a fan favourite.
