Mr Perfectionist Aamir Khan is set to celebrate his 60th birthday on March 14. To honour his legacy in Indian cinema, a special film festival Aamir Khan: Cinema Ka Jaadugar has been organised.
This event will bring his iconic films back to the big screen and provide fans an opportunity to relive his most memorable performances.
Aamir Khan To Engage In Conversation With Javed Akhtar
As part of the celebration, Aamir will engage in a special conversation with legendary lyricist Javed Akhtar and other industry figures. This event will take place at PVR Juhu in Mumbai on March 14. It promises to be a treat for film lovers by offering rare insights into Aamir’s journey as an actor, filmmaker, and storyteller.
The Cinema Ka Jaadugar festival will not be limited to Mumbai. PVR INOX will screen Aamir’s classic films across India. Running from March 14 to 27, the festival will showcase his most loved movies, from romantic hits to socially impactful projects. Fans will get a chance to watch his films on the big screen once again.
Aamir’s Bollywood journey began with Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (1988), which made him a household name. Over the years, he delivered several hits including Dil (1990), Raja Hindustani (1996), and Lagaan (2001), which earned an Oscar nomination. His film 3 Idiots (2009) remains a fan favourite.
As a producer, Aamir backed impactful films like Taare Zameen Par (2007), Peepli Live (2010), and Delhi Belly (2011). His last film Laal Singh Chaddha (2022) was an ambitious adaptation of Forrest Gump.
Aamir Khan’s Current Work Front
Aamir is now preparing for his next film Sitaare Zameen Par, which is set to release later this year. Announced in October 2023, the film is a spiritual successor to Taare Zameen Par and stars Aamir alongside Darsheel Safary and Genelia Deshmukh.
Directed by RS Prasanna, the film is inspired by the 2018 Spanish movie Champions but will feature a fresh story with new characters.
