Aanand L Rai’s Production Haseen Dillruba, starring Taapsee, to premiere on Netflix on THIS date!

In the ongoing announcements of films opting for a direct-to-digital release, latest to join this bandwagon is Taapsee’s upcoming thriller, Haseen Dillruba.

Directed by Vinil Mathew of Hasee Toh Phasee fame, Haseen Dillruba also stars Vikrant Massey and Harshvardhan Rane along with Taapsee Pannu. The film written by Kanika Dhillon revolves around a woman who finds herself entangled in the murder of her own husband.

Filmmaker Aanand L Rai is producing the movie through his banner Colour Yellow Production in collaboration with Eros International and Himanshu Sharma, who is known for writing Tanu Weds Manu series and SRK’s Zero.

Rai had previously said in a statement, “Haseen Dillruba is a murder mystery within a twisted love story, a genre we have not explored before. Really looking forward to entertain and engage the audience with this edgy script.”

Kanika Dhillon, known for her work on Judgementall Hai Kya and Pannu-starrer Manmarziyaan, has penned Haseen Dillruba. Taapsee and Kanika had previously collaborated in Anurag Kashyap’s Manmarziyaan where the actress played the role of Rumi.

Haseen Dillruba was earlier scheduled to have a theatrical release last September, but was pushed indefinitely due to the second wave of coronavirus pandemic.

Taapsee Pannu made the announcement on her social media platforms, with the caption, “Kahani Aashiqana. Raaz Katilana. #HaseenDillruba coming soon. Only on Netflix. #TheUltimateKaunspiracy”

Haseen Dillruba, starring Taapsee Pannu, Vikrant Massey and Harshvardhan Rane, has been directed by Vinil Mathew and produced by Aanand L Rai. The murder mystery will release on Netflix on July 2.

Meanwhile, Taapsee is gearing up to star in Rajkumar Hirani’s next with Shah Rukh Khan.
