Actor Govinda Claims Twitter Account Hacked Amid Controversial Gurugram Violence Tweet Going Viral; Video Inside

Actor Govinda has reportedly deactivated his Twitter account following trolling for a controversial remark on the violence in Haryana. On Tuesday, a tweet from his unverified account caused a stir online and has since been deleted. However, Govinda has now claimed that his account was hacked and he vehemently denies making any such post. Let’s take a closer examination of the situation.

Govinda’s Controversial Tweet on Gurugram Violence Gets Deleted

On Tuesday, August 2, a tweet appeared on Govinda’s Twitter account, stating What have we come down to? Shame on the people who call themselves Hindus and do such things. Aman aur shanti banaye. Hum democracy hai, autocracy nahi.” The tweet has been deleted from Govinda’s account, but it has already gained widespread attention on social media due to screenshots that went viral.

Following the incident, Govinda promptly addressed the issue on Instagram, releasing a video where he vehemently denied making the controversial comment on Twitter. He asserted that his Twitter account had been compromised, and he had not authored the tweet in question. The actor stated his intention to file a complaint with the cyber-crime authorities to investigate the hacking incident thoroughly. He urged his followers not to associate the Haryana tweet with him and assured them that he would take appropriate measures to resolve the matter.

Additionally, Govinda emphasized that his Twitter account had remained inactive for years, and his team confirmed that they were not responsible for the controversial post. He expressed gratitude to his supporters, friends, and fans in Haryana, assuring them that neither he nor his team would tweet anything without his consent. Govinda reiterated his intention to involve the cyber-crime authorities to thoroughly investigate the matter and find the culprits behind the unauthorized tweet.

In response to the incident, the actor known for his role in Raja Babu asserted that the timing of the tweet was suspicious, coinciding with the approaching election season. He speculated that certain individuals might have assumed he would align with a political party and fabricated the tweet accordingly. Nevertheless, Govinda firmly stated that he never engages in such activities, nor does he express such views about anyone. He clarified that he avoids discussing such matters altogether.

On a separate note, on Monday, Haryana experienced a surge in communal violence when a mob attempted to halt a procession organized by the Vishva Hindu Parishad in Nuh. The situation escalated with stone-pelting incidents and vehicles being set ablaze.
