Hrithik Roshan Says ‘Koi Mil Gaya’ “Has Aged Pretty Well” Ahead Of Its Re-Release

Hrithik Roshan is one of the biggest superstars in Bollywood. After making an explosive debut with Kaho Na Pyaar Hai, he went on to star in several unsuccessful films. But one film almost resurrected his Bollywood career and it was again directed by his father and filmmaker Rakesh Roshan. This was the 2003 science fiction film Koi Mil Gaya which was a major critical and commercial success.

As the film turns 20, the makers have decided to re-release it for the younger generation. Ahead of the re-release, Hrithik Roshan took to social media on Thursday to share his views on the special film. He said “Koi… Mil Gaya is re-releasing in theatres on August 4. I am so excited for the film, I gave so much to, is releasing again in theatres. Wow, it sounds absolutely crazy to me. I didn’t even know it was possible but I knew it was possible. But, now that it is happening, it feels like a release of a new film. This is going to be a lot of fun.”

Hrithik further added, “Please go to the theatres with your family and friends to enjoy this film. I hope you enjoy. I feel that it has aged pretty well although every time I think of this film, I feel I could have done much better. It’s still a very dear film.”

Koi Mil Gaya To Re-Release Across The Nation

Koi Mil Gaya will be released by PVR Inox on August 4 across 30 cities in the country. The re-release will take place between 4 and 10 August across different cities. This will be a great chance for the younger lot to witness this grand story on the big screen.

About Koi Mil Gaya

Koi Mil Gaya is inspired by the Hollywood film E.T. Extra-Terrestrial and was produced and directed by Rakesh Roshan. It was written by Rakesh, Sachin Bhowmick, Honey Irani, and Robin Bhatt. The film stars Hrithik Roshan, Preity Zinta, and Rekha. Johnny Lever, Rajat Bedi, Prem Chopra, Hansika Motwani, and Anuj Pandit Sharma also appear in supporting roles. It was released on 8 August 2003 and met with great response from both the critics and the audiences. The film has since spawned two sequels, Krrish (released in 2006) and Krrish 3 (released in 2013).
