Ever since Adipurush hit the theatres, the film has been marred with all kinds of controversies. It has been heavily panned by critics for its tacky visual effects, badly written dialogues, and weak script. Amid all this, the film’s director Om Raut and writer Manoj Muntashir have been receiving several death threats from various religious outfits who claim the film has hurt Hindu sentiments. Now, Manoj is seeking police protection from Mumbai Police. On Monday, the police department swiftly took action and provided him with security cover.
Across the nation, people have been protesting for its wrongful depiction of various characters. Effies of Manoj and Om have been burnt in some places. Amid all this, cops recorded Manoj’s statement and the matter is under investigation. The film stars Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, Sunny Singh, and Saif Ali Khan in major roles. Manoj and the makers have agreed to change five dialogues in the film that people have objected to. Earlier, Karni Sena had openly threatened to kill the director. There has also been a request to ban the film and prevent people from entering the theaters in some parts of the country.
T-Series Apologizes To Kathmandu Mayor
Recently, Kathmandu Mayor Balen Shah objected to one of the dialogues in Adipurush where Goddess Sita is addressed as the ‘daughter of India.’ Because of this, Shah ordered a ban on the film in Kathmandu for its factually wrong dialogues. He demanded the removal of this dialogue. “Until and unless the slogan ‘Janki is a daughter of India’ contained in the South Indian film Adipurush is not true not only in Nepal but also in India, no Hindi film will be allowed to run in the Kathmandu Metropolitan City,” Shah said.

The film was also banned in cities like Dharan and Pokhara for its wrongful depiction of Nepal. Now, T-Series, the producer of the film, has issued an apology to the Mayor and has asked him to lift the ban. In a letter to Mayor Shah, the production house clarified that the dialogue was unintentional.
