After Dostana 2 and Freddy, Kartik Aaryan Ousted From A Third Potential Project and Here’s Why!

That's not it, apparently the makers are considering Ayushmann Khurrana for this film.
Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety actor, Kartik Aaryan has been in news lately because of all the wrong reasons!
After being ousted from Karan Johar’s Dostana 2 and Shah Rukh Khan’s production, Goodbye Freddy, it is being rumoured that the actor Kartik Aaryan may have been ousted from a third potential project – this time an Aanand L Rai production!
According to a report in Hindustan Times, Kartik Aaryan was in advanced talks with Aanand L Rai for his untitled production, a gangster film. This film was to be directed by Aanand L Rai’s assistant and produced by Rai’s Color Yellow Productions.
But before the actor could sign the project officially, things fell apart and he is no longer being considered. That’s not it, apparently the makers are considering Ayushmann Khurrana for this film.
Rai is known to play safer bets when it comes to his films. Before this, Aanand L Rai had also shelved Tanu Weds Manu 3 with Kangana, even after the script being ready because she got broiled in multiple controversies.

“The fact that Karan dropped Kartik seems to have influenced others. So, this could be the third instance where Kartik maybe losing out on getting to work with an established filmmaker like Aanand.” quoted the source.

Apparently, Aaryan is not even aware that the makers have already replaced him with another actor.

“Aanand is now considering Ayushmann Khurrana for this film with who he had earlier collaborated on Shubh Mangal Saavdhan (2017) and Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan (2020), so it’s not a surprise if he may have readily come on board,” the source reveals.

The film maker Aanand L Rai clarified, “As a production house, we work on several scripts and pitch it to actors, that’s the process. Actors keep meeting you, you keep telling them what you are working on, they express their desire to collaborate. And then, depending upon the subject, you decide if you should approach them. But that doesn’t mean you have signed them.” When asked further if Ayushmann Khurrana has come on board, without confirming if it’s for the same project, the filmmaker said, “I have a story, which we would soon make with Ayushmann.”

The actor has Anees Bazmee’s Bhool Bhulaiyya 2, Lukka Chippi sequel and Ram Madhvani’s Dhamaka in pipeline, that are slated to release this year.
