Sajid Nadiadwala’s Son Subhan Starts Shooting For Aisi Deewangi With A High-Octane Action Sequence

A new Bollywood launch has quietly moved from industry chatter to camera-ready reality. Subhan Nadiadwala, son of producer Sajid Nadiadwala, officially began shooting for his debut film Aisi Deewangi on March 23 in Mumbai. Box Office Worldwide has learned he opened with a demanding action set-piece, setting the tone for a launch that is clearly aiming for scale from day one.

The film is being directed by Shashank Khaitan, the filmmaker known for shaping glossy romance-driven entertainers and for previously introducing fresh faces in Dhadak. This time, the launch carries added emotional resonance. Aisi Deewangi takes its title from the iconic song from Deewana (1992), the film that featured Divya Bharti, Sajid Nadiadwala’s late wife.

Aisi Deewangi Goes On Floors

The opening schedule of Aisi Deewangi was shot at an under-construction building near DN Nagar in Andheri. Box Office Worldwide has learned that Subhan’s first day involved an action sequence featuring nearly 60 trained fighters, underlining the makers’ intent to present him as a full-scale commercial hero from the outset.

The film is mounted as a love story, but its opening with a stylised action block signals that the makers are blending romance with a larger big-screen pitch. That combination appears central to the film’s identity, positioning it as an emotional drama with an energetic, youth-facing commercial pulse. Subhan underwent months of training ahead of the shoot, and the production is also scheduled to move to Manali for a subsequent leg.

The cast around him is being assembled as part of a carefully mounted commercial launch, and that ambition fits seamlessly into the Nadiadwala banner’s long-standing association with mainstream Hindi entertainers. For Sajid Nadiadwala, his son’s first film is more than a production milestone. It is also a deeply personal moment that ties family legacy to a new generation on set.

Why Shashank Khaitan Fits This Star Launch

Khaitan is no stranger to headline-making debuts. He directed Dhadak in 2018, the romantic drama that introduced Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor to Hindi cinema. The film performed well at the box office and cemented Khaitan’s reputation as a filmmaker who understands youthful romance with commercial packaging.

His most recent directorial release was Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, which arrived in 2025. Over the years, he has remained closely associated with modern Hindi romance and relationship dramas, making Aisi Deewangi a fitting addition to his filmography.

With shooting now underway, the focus shifts to how the makers shape Subhan’s screen image in the months ahead. The decision to begin with a physically demanding set-piece, while anchoring the film in romance, suggests clear confidence in both the actor’s preparation and the project’s mainstream ambitions.
