Ajay Devgn and R Madhavan, who wowed audiences with their 2024 film Shaitaan, are getting ready for a sequel. The first instalment hit the screens on March 8, 2024, and was a big success, receiving praise from both fans and critics. Now, it’s confirmed that Shaitaan 2 is in the works, with the script currently being developed.
Shaitaan 2 Update: Makers Working On The Film’s Script
Sources told Bollywood Hungama that the script for Shaitaan 2 is underway. Once it’s finalised, Ajay Devgn and the team will plan the production schedule. Given the first film’s success, they want to make sure the sequel is just as engaging before moving forward.
Ajay Devgn is among the rare superstars in Indian cinema with his involvement in successful franchises. Besides Shaitaan 2, Devgn is also working on Son of Sardaar 2, showcasing his versatility across different genres.

Ajay Devgn’s Other Upcoming Franchise Films
Right now, Devgn is busy with several projects. He has finished filming for Singham Again, which is set to release during Diwali 2024. This action-packed film boasts a star-studded cast, including Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Ranveer Singh, and Akshay Kumar.
Devgn is also working on Son of Sardaar 2, with Mrunal Thakur co-starring. The film, which was introduced with Punjabi dhol beats, is produced by Jio Studios and Devgn Films. The production team includes Ajay Devgn, Jyoti Deshpande, N R Pachisia, Pravin Talreja, and Kumar Mangat Pathak.
Additionally, Devgn has finished work on Raid 2, where he reprises his role as IRS officer Amay Patnaik. The sequel, featuring Vaani Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh, is inspired by a real-life tax evasion case and is currently in post-production.
Ajay is also gearing up for future projects like De De Pyaar De 2, Dhamaal 4, Golmaal 5, and Drishyam 3.
