Box Office Worldwide has learned that director Jagan Shakti had earlier mounted an action block featuring Devgn and Sanjay Dutt, but later chose to revisit it with the leading man taking over the staging of the sequence. Last week, Devgn and action director Kevin Kumar began filming the climax again at Golden Tobacco Studio in Vile Parle.
A source said, “Ajay is reshooting a high-octane action block at Jagan’s request. The director felt that the superstar, being experienced in action, could take the climax to another level. Everybody on the team felt that it needed to look grander than what was shot. During the making of Maa [2025] too, Ajay had reshot certain key action sequences featuring Kajol.”
The quote offers a clearer sense of what is happening on the film, this is not a minor tweak, but a full effort to upgrade the payoff of the narrative’s biggest action moment.

Ranger is directed by Jagan Shakti and stars Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt and Tamannaah Bhatia. Current title listings place the film as a 2026 release, with trade-facing listings indicating a November 6, 2026, India release window.
