Ajay Devgn to direct the biggest film of his career in 2024 with THIS massive budget?

Ajay Devgn is currently working on the post-production of MayDay, his ambitious edge-of-your-seat drama starring Amitabh Bachchan, Boman Irani, and Rakul Preet Singh. Now, we learnt through an entertainment website that the actor is working on a new film, which could be his most ambitious to date. According to the source, the film’s budget is expected to be in the region of Rs 400 crore.

“Ajay has this subject in his mind for a long time now and has finally taken the step to bring it to the spectacle. Devgn has shared his vision and basic plot with multiple sets of writers, who are currently working remotely to develop it into a full-fledged screenplay. It’s said to be a VFX driven premise with strong emotions and the actor is very excited to explore this world. It’s not exactly a period film. However, the outcome of the said project depends on how the final output of script turns out to be,” revealed a source close to the development to Pinkvilla.

The source also revealed that Not only the actor, but the entire team at NY VFXwala is ecstatic to bring the audience to a another universe. Things are still in the early stages, and the project’s future is dependent on the Covid-19 situation and the restoration of the theatre industry in the coming years. “The estimated budget at the moment is upwards of Rs 400 crore, and it may even increase as the things start getting more concrete,” the source added.
