Cuttputli released on September 2 stars Akshay Kumar, Rakul Preet Singh. It’s a psychological thriller of 2 hour 14 minutes. Akahay acts as rookie cop Arjan who begins a journey to chase the truth and discovers a gruesome conspiracy. He hunts down a serial killer threatening the Kasauli town.
In a recent episode of The Kapil Sharma Show, Kapil asked Akshay, “Who is a serial killer?” Kapil is the actual serial killer, said Raksha Bandhan actor jokingly, further asking the host how many shows have been cancelled because of him.
Akshay said that he loves movies with comedy and action. He added that for the first time people are asking him, “Why do you work so much?” He said, “Who asks such questions? Have you ever heard parents asking their children, ‘Why do you study so much?’”
“If my films are not working, it is our fault, it is my fault. I have to make the changes, I have to understand what the audience wants. I want to make changes, I want to dismantle my way of working and think what kind of films I should be doing. Nobody else is to be blamed but me.” Akshay had said at the Cuttputli trailer launch.
Meanwhile, he will next be seen in Ram Setu, OMG 2 and another untitled movie co-starring Emraan Hashmi.
