Actor Ali Fazal, who is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Metro… In Dino, took a nostalgic trip down memory lane as he marked 12 years since the release of the first part of his beloved comedy franchise, Fukrey.
On Sunday, Ali treated his fans to a series of behind-the-scenes pictures from the sets of the film.
The photos captured candid moments with his co-stars and the film’s producers, offering fans a glimpse into the fun camaraderie that made Fukrey so special.
In the caption, Ali expressed his gratitude and wrote, “12 years ago we blasted out into the scene. Thank you to the team of @excelmovies and of course @ritesh_sid & @faroutakhtar for championing a bunch of whackos like us… on a film like this… to many more place holders in history. To @mriglamba: I owe you big. More than just for Fukrey.”

When Fukrey released, it didn’t have a massive opening at the box office but gradually gained a loyal audience through word-of-mouth and turned into a cult classic.
The franchise has since become a cherished part of Hindi cinema, often cited as a perfect example of films that transform from sleeper hits to pop culture favourites.
The film also holds a special place in Ali’s personal life as he first shared screen space with Richa Chadha in Fukrey. The two went on to get married and recently welcomed their baby girl.
