Alia Bhatt recently shared her thoughts on Kiran Rao’s directorial debut, Laapataa Ladies, through her Instagram stories. The actress described the film as “beautiful” and praised the performances of the star-studded cast, including Ravi Kishan, Sparsh Shrivastava, Nitanshi Goel, and Pratibha Ranta.
Taking to Instagram, Alia expressed her enjoyment of the movie, writing, “Such a wonderful time at the movies (sic).” She also congratulated the entire cast for delivering fabulous performances, extending her best wishes to them.
Laapataa Ladies OTT Release
Laapataa Ladies has recently premiered on Netflix, offering viewers a new option for entertainment. In a promotional video, Kiran Rao highlights the dedication behind the film, mentioning it took her 13 years to bring it to fruition. Aamir Khan also expresses his excitement, stating that they would be thrilled if audiences chose to watch the movie.
The film had a successful theatrical run of over 50 days, captivating audiences with its story of two women losing themselves on a train journey.
Before its release in cinemas, the movie premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) on September 8, 2023. Nitanshi Goel portrays Phool Kumari, while Sparsh Shrivastav takes on the role of Deepak Kumar. Pratibha Ranta stars as Pushpa Rani, and Ravi Kishan plays the character of Inspector Shyam Manohar.
