As per reports, Alia and Ranbir have shot deeply emotional scenes from the evening to the early morning, starting around 6 PM each day and ending as the sun comes up, deep in those soulful moments created by Bhansali, who is always known for an aesthetic combination of grandiosity and storytelling.

Sources tell us that the couple had to go above and beyond on their night schedules, as they have been throwing themselves into sequels of lengthy monologues with intensity and detail. Bhansali was very keen that the night and the stillness and quality of exploration from the perspective of nighttime be made clear and obvious; he really asked them to live in that time of day as they filmed.
A source involved with the project says,
“Ranbir and Alia shot from 6PM to sunrise for a few days. For Sanjay sir, every frame has to be almost poetic. He wanted these scenes — because they are heartbreaking — to happen in the darkness of the night.”
The film itself is set to be a deeply emotional love story that takes place amid war and is already being touted as one of the most ambitious films of Bhansali’s illustrious career.
