In response to Aryan’s bail application, the investigating agency claimed that evidence gathered throughout the inquiry revealed that accused No. 1 (Aryan Khan) is involved in the illegal acquisition and distribution of contraband. According to the NCB, Aryan obtained contraband from Accused No. 2 (Arbaaz Merchant), who was found with 6 grams of Charas. Aryan Khan was also in contact with people who appeared to be part of an international drug network, according to the investigating agency. According to the investigation agency, Aryan Khan is a powerful figure who may tamper with evidence, influence other witnesses, and even flee justice. The NCB rejected Aryan’s bail, but his lawyer maintained that no evidence had been found against the star kid.

“They may have had information of a rave party but, it does not give them a right to pick up people otherwise unconnected and from who there was zero recovery or hold on to their custody when not required,” Amit Desai stated in court. He further argued that Aryan khan had no plans to consume or sell drugs. “They are some young kids. In many countries these substances are legal. Let us not penalise in bail. Let us not make it worse for them. They have suffered enough, they have learnt their lesson, if at all. They are not peddlers, racketeers or traffickers,” said the senior advocate.

Aryan Khan and seven others were formally arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in connection with a drugs bust on a Mumbai-Goa cruise. Holiday Magistrate RK Rajebhosale heard the case, and Aryan was sentenced to one-day NCB remand. His NCB detention was prolonged till October 7th. Aryan’s bail was denied by Mumbai’s Esplanade Court when his NCB custody ended, claiming that the court lacked authority. Aryan was subsequently remanded in detention for 14 days and is now being held in the Arthur Road jail.
