After creating a buzz with Baby John, the much-awaited action film starring Varun Dhawan, producers Atlee and Murad Khetani are already gearing up for their next big project.
This time, they are teaming up for a Tamil thriller that will feature actor Vijay Sethupathi in the lead role. The duo’s latest collaboration promises to be an intense, gripping ride.
Atlee-Vijay Sethupathi’s Tamil Thriller To Go On Floors In Q1 2025
According to sources close to the film, the yet-to-be-titled thriller will begin production in the first quarter of 2025. It is expected to hit theatres by the end of the same year.
“The film’s subject is terrific, and everyone involved is excited to begin production. This thriller will do justice to Vijay Sethupathi’s stature as both an actor and a star,” a source revealed to Pinkvilla.
The project has already generated plenty of excitement, thanks to the powerhouse combination of Atlee’s direction and Sethupathi’s performance.
Murad Khetani, one of the producers, confirmed the collaboration in an exclusive interview. He shared, “There are several projects in the pipeline, but one film has been locked. Atlee sir and I are starting a Tamil film, which will go on floors very soon. We will share more details shortly.”
The film is in the final stages of preparation, with more details to be revealed soon.
Jawan Director Reveals Working On The Film For Past Two Years
Atlee, known for his successful collaborations and massive hits, also shared his excitement for the project. “Yes, it’s a film with Vijay Sethupathi sir. It’s a fantastic story that Murad sir and I have been working on for the past two years. This is the next banger from Cine1 and A For Apple,” he said, hinting at the high stakes and potential of the film.
The announcement of the new project comes just ahead of the release of Baby John, which is scheduled for Christmas 2024. Atlee has also planned a standalone film with Salman Khan.
Talking about Vijay Sethupathi, the actor was last seen in Tamil HIT Maharaja. It was also released recently in China. Now, he has Viduthalai Part 2, which is in the post-production stage.
