The film debuted with a meagre Rs 1.85 crore on its opening day, marking the weakest start for a Devgn film in a decade. The first week saw little improvement, with earnings hovering around Rs 10.05 crore by the end of the week.
The numbers saw a slight uptick on the second Saturday, but it wasn’t enough to salvage the film’s prospects. On Day 2, the film managed to earn Rs 2.15 crore, marking a 16.22% increase from its debut. Sunday brought a glimmer of hope with earnings of Rs 2.75 crore, up 27.91% from Saturday. However, this brief boost quickly faded.
By Monday, the film’s earnings plummeted to Rs 1 crore, a 63.64% drop from Sunday. The decline continued throughout the week, with the film earning Rs 0.95 crore on Tuesday, Rs 0.75 crore on Wednesday, and Rs 0.60 crore on Thursday. The week concluded with a total of Rs 10.05 crore.
In its second week, the film faced further challenges. On Day 8, despite a special Rs 99 cinema offer aimed at boosting footfall, the earnings were only Rs 0.30 crore. The film saw a slight improvement on the second Saturday with Rs 0.54 crore, followed by Rs 0.56 crore on the second Sunday. However, these figures were insufficient to turn the tide.
With a cumulative total of Rs 11.45 crore in ten days, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha is considered the biggest box office flop of 2024. Analysts predict that the film will struggle to surpass Rs 12-13 crore by the end of its second week before new releases capture audience attention.
