Bad Newz Jumps By 58% On Saturday Despite Huge Competition From Deadpool & Wolverine, Set To Surpass Rs 50 Cr In 2nd Weekend

Bad Newz witnessed growth on 2nd Saturday despite big Hollywood release and is set to surpass Rs 50 cr on Sunday.

Bad Newz, directed by Anand Tiwari and starring Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri, and Ammy Virk, is making a strong impact at the Indian box office. Despite facing stiff competition from the Hollywood release Deadpool & Wolverine, the film has managed to hold its ground.

Bad Newz Jumps By 58. 56% On 2nd Saturday

Bad Newz had a remarkable opening, earning Rs 8.62 crore on its first day. Positive reviews and strong word-of-mouth significantly boosted its weekend earnings. On Saturday, the film raked in Rs 10.55 crore, bringing the two-day total to Rs 19.17 crore. The momentum continued on Sunday with Rs 11.45 crore, pushing the weekend total to Rs 30.62 crore.

As expected, there was a typical drop in earnings on Monday when the weekdays began. However, the film still performed well. On the fourth day, it made Rs 3.75 crore, raising the four-day total to Rs 34.37 crore. Tuesday added Rs 3.80 crore, Wednesday brought in Rs 3.20 crore, and Thursday saw Rs 2.75 crore. By the end of its first week, the film had earned Rs 44.12 crore.

Even with the release of the highly anticipated Hollywood film Deadpool & Wolverine on Friday, Bad Newz continued to attract audiences. On its second Friday, it earned Rs 2.22 crore, bringing the eight-day total to Rs 46.54 crore. As it entered the second weekend, the film was poised to cross the Rs 50 crore mark.

The weekend saw significant growth for Bad Newz. On the ninth day, it earned Rs 3.52 crore, bringing the total earnings to Rs 49.86 crore in India. The film is expected to surpass the Rs 50 crore mark on Sunday, thanks to the notable growth in numbers.
