Karan Johar is celebrating the first anniversary of his film Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. The filmmaker took to Instagram to share a heartfelt note with his entire team, including Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh. Released in 2023, the film received a lot of love from audiences and performed well at the box office.
Karan Johar Shares Celebratory Video To Mark 1 Year Of Rocky Aur Rani
On his Instagram, Karan shared a celebratory video showing Rocky and Rani’s introduction and their story. He wrote, “Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani turns 1 today – and I am so happy… so happy! I am so humbled and grateful for the huge amount of love that has come my way this past year. The film was a celebration of Hindi cinema, and I’m so honoured to have had such a celebrated cast and crew on the film! Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt have my heart forever! Best Rocky and Rani ever! Both of them made my life and job so easy! They came… I saw, and they conquered… love you both from last life.”
Karan also expressed his gratitude for directing Jaya Bachchan again, calling her the most loved actor on set. He added, “Honoured to have directed Jaya aunty again, she was the most loved actor on our set! Love you so much aunty J!”
He also praised the legendary Shabana Azmi and Dharmendra, saying, “Privileged to have directed legends Shabana Azmi ji and Dharmendra ji. When we finished working with them, I felt like singing ‘Abhi na jao chodke…ke dil abhi bhara nahi’ to them!”
Karan Johar’s note continued with appreciation for the entire ensemble cast and crew, stating, “The best ensemble any filmmaker could have asked for. Love and immense respect for all of you.” He also thanked Apoorva Mehta, who shares a close bond with him, and hailed his writing team, calling them the heart and soul of the film.
