Bad Newz is about to wrap up its second week in cinemas, but the buzz around it isn’t dying down. Despite stiff competition from the likes of Deadpool & Wolverine, and with new Bollywood releases on the horizon, the film is still riding high.
To keep the momentum going, the makers have extended their popular “Buy One Get One” (BOGO) offer in theatres.
Bad Newz Keeps Rolling With Its BOGO Offer
The extended offer has proven successful, boosting the film’s box office numbers. On Instagram, the Bad Newz team shared the news: “Experience 2x excitement with #BadNewz! 🤩 Get the offer by using the @bookmyshowin code now – valid only for today!”
This promotion is a strategic move to capitalise on the remaining days of its run before new releases arrive and offer fans more value.
Bad Newz has already surpassed the Rs 50 crore mark at the box office and is on track to reach Rs 60 crore by the end of its second weekend, thanks to the recent uptick in ticket sales. The film’s success can be attributed to the standout performances by Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri, and Ammy Virk. Their portrayals have garnered widespread acclaim and significantly contributed to the film’s popularity.
About The Film
Directed by Anand Tiwari, Bad Newz has also been praised for its gripping storyline and strong direction. The film’s ability to hold its own against a major Hollywood release underscores its strong appeal and resonance with audiences.
The film’s plot follows Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk as they tackle the trials of fatherhood, while Triptii Dimri infuses the story with her vibrant energy. The narrative kicks off with Triptii’s character, Saloni Bagga, crossing paths with Vicky’s Akhil Chadha during a dramatic wedding. Akhil, described as a self-centred “mama’s boy,” impulsively marries Saloni.
Their spontaneous honeymoon in Greece sets the stage for Saloni’s decision to live independently in Mussoorie, where she meets Gurbir Pannu, played by Ammy Virk. A series of events, including a wild night out, leads Saloni to discover she is pregnant with twins, each fathered by a different man.
The film features a stellar ensemble cast including Neha Dhupia, with special appearances by Ananya Panday and Neha Sharma. Bad Newz serves as a spiritual successor to the 2019 hit Good Newwz, which starred Kareena Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Kiara Advani, and Diljit Dosanjh.
