JP Dutta and his production company, JP Films, have stepped into the spotlight to refute claims made by Bharat Shah and Bina Bharat Shah regarding the financial accounts of their upcoming film, Border 2.
The Shahs recently issued a public notice alleging financial misconduct by Dutta. In response, JP Films labelled these accusations as unfounded and a blatant attempt to stir public drama.
Border 2 Makers DENY Bharat Shah’s Claims In An Official Statement
In their official statement, JP Films expressed strong disapproval. They said, “The public notice issued in film trade journal/s by Little & Co. (Advocates & Solicitors) on behalf of their clients Bharat Shah and Bina Bharat Shah making accusations against J P Dutta concerning the accounts of the Film Border is false, unfounded, baseless and mischievous in intent aimed at creating public sensationalism.”
They further clarified that it is actually Bharat Shah who has not adhered to the Deed of Settlement.
Dutta’s team made it clear that the matter is currently sub-judice, meaning it is still under legal consideration. They stressed the importance of respecting the legal process, stating, “JP Films considers it appropriate to let the sanctity of the settlement and course of justice prevail.” Their commitment to quality entertainment was also highlighted, as they reaffirmed their dedication to creating “clean entertainment that touches the soul of our eternal nation.”
JP Dutta Returning With Border 2 After Decades
On the professional side, JP Dutta is excited about the upcoming Border 2, which features a star-studded cast. Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, and Diljit Dosanjh will be joining forces in this highly anticipated sequel.
Directed by Anurag Singh, known for his impressive work on films like Kesari, Punjab 1984, Jatt & Juliet, and Dil Bole Hadippa!, the project promises to deliver a captivating cinematic experience. The announcement of Border 2 was made on June 13, 2024, marking 27 years since the original film’s release.
