The team of Border 2 has revealed an emotional plan to launch the recreated version of the legendary song Sandese Aate Hai. Producer Bhushan Kumar made the announcement during the teaser launch event of the highly anticipated war drama. The song will be unveiled on January 2, 2026 at Longewala in Rajasthan, making it an unforgettable tribute to India’s armed forces.
What makes this announcement even more special is the location choice. Longewala is the same historic battle site where the Battle of Longewala took place during the 1971 India Pakistan war. The original Border film released in 1997 was based on this very battle. By choosing to launch the recreated song at this sacred location, the makers are bringing the story full circle and honoring the brave soldiers who fought there.
A Grand Event With Armed Forces
Bhushan Kumar shared exciting details about the launch event during the teaser unveiling. He revealed that this time the iconic song Sandese Aate Hai features additional singers alongside the original feel. The producer emphasized that they tried their best to ensure the recreated version has the same emotional impact as the original while incorporating the sound of today.

He said, We have tried our best to make sure that it has the same feel as the original song and yet, it has the sound of today. The teaser of Border 2 has already featured a recreated version of Hindustan Hindustan, which received tremendous response. Now with Sandese Aate Hai getting the same treatment, expectations are sky high. The original song from Border remains one of the most beloved patriotic tracks in Indian cinema history.

At the teaser launch, Bhushan Kumar gave full credit to JP Dutta for creating the legacy of Border. He mentioned that Nidhi Dutta approached him with the desire to make Border 2, and they collectively decided at T-Series that this film needed to be made. The producer also praised Sunny Deol, saying it is impossible to make Border 2 without him and thanked him for devoting so much time and hard work to the project.
