BUZZ: Did Makers APPROACH Taapsee Pannu For The Role Of Female Lead In Subhash Ghai’s Aitraaz 2?

Taapsee Pannu is reportedly being considered for the lead role in Subhash Ghai’s much-awaited sequel Aitraaz 2.

Subhash Ghai is gearing up for the much-anticipated sequel to his 2004 thriller Aitraaz. The original film is known for bold storytelling and the sequel is expected to continue this. It featured Priyanka Chopra Jonas in a groundbreaking role as the femme fatale. Fresh reports suggest Taapsee Pannu might be the lead, though nothing is confirmed yet.

Taapsee Pannu Approached For Aitraaz 2?

Sources say she has received the script and is interested in the storyline, but neither Taapsee nor Mukta Arts (the film’s production company) have made an official statement.

Subhash Ghai had recently praised Priyanka’s daring performance, which has remained memorable even after 20 years. He shared on social media, “PRIYANKA CHOPRA DARED AND DID IT. That’s why cine lovers can’t forget her performance even after 20 years today in Aitraaz—produced by Mukta Arts.”

Will Taapsee Play Female Lead In The Sequel?

Ghai had mentioned that the script for Aitraaz 2 has been developed over the last three years. If Taapsee Pannu takes on the lead role, it would be a perfect fit for her career. She is known for playing strong, independent characters, such as in Thappad, Pink, and Haseen Dillruba.

The sequel will be directed by Amit Rai, who is known for Oh My God 2. Taapsee, meanwhile, is working on other projects. She was last seen in Dunki, a film starring SRK that became a huge hit. She is currently busy with her next action thriller, Gandhari.

Fans of Aitraaz are eagerly waiting for news about the cast and an official confirmation from the makers.
