In the final written to the Supreme Court, the CBI mentioned that there is no question of transferring the death case of Sushant Singh Rajput to Mumbai Police, since there is no case filed or pending there.

Rhea Chakraborty filed a plea to transfer the case to Mumbai from Bihar Police to get a fair trial.

The submission also reportedly asked for 56 people by Mumbai Police as “bereft of any legal backing’. CBI also required the upper court to not make any observation that comes in the way of another probe conducted by Enforcement Directorate (ED).

The investigation is parallely conducted by ED under Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002.

Sushant Singh Rajput was found hanging at his Bandra apartment on June 14.
