Geetha Arts To Distribute Telugu Version Of Chhaava
The Telugu version of Chhaava will be distributed by GA2 Pictures, a division of Geetha Arts. With a legacy of handling over 300 blockbuster films, they are set to bring the film to Telugu-speaking audiences in a grand way.
Directed by Laxman Utekar, Chhaava is a historical epic that tells the story of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the brave Maratha warrior and eldest son of the Maratha empire’s founder. Vicky Kaushal delivers a powerful performance as the legendary ruler, while Rashmika Mandanna plays his wife, Yesubai Bhonsale. The film also features Akshaye Khanna, Ashutosh Rana, and Divya Dutta in significant roles.
Vicky Kaushal Starrer Running Strong At The Box Office
The film has been a massive success at the box office, crossing the Rs 350 crore mark in India. With Maha Shivratri on 26 February, the collections are expected to see another boost. Reports indicate that Chhaava earned around Rs 19.10 crore on its second Monday and Rs 19.23 crore on Tuesday, bringing its total to approximately Rs 372.84 crore. Final numbers may go even higher as audiences continue to flock to cinemas.
Vicky Kaushal is overwhelmed by the film’s reception. He recently shared his gratitude on Instagram by posting a still from the movie. The actor wrote, “No more an ‘Unsung’ Hero! Thank you everyone… Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj ki Jai.”
