The film Chhaava is set for release on February 14, 2025. It features Vicky Kaushal, Rashmika Mandanna, and Akshaye Khanna in key roles. The movie explores the life of Maratha king Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj.
On Thursday (Feb 6), the film’s team released the song “Aaya Re Toofan” to offer a preview of the intense action that portrays Sambhaji’s battle against the Mughal empire.

Composed by AR Rahman, the track features vocals by Rahman and Vaishali Samant. The song’s lyrics are written by Irshad Kamil and Kshitij Patwardhan. It sets the tone for the movie’s action-packed scenes.
The music video introduces Vicky Kaushal as Sambhaji Maharaj. He is seen using guerilla warfare tactics to fight the Mughal forces across various landscapes such as forests and forts.
The song concludes with a scene showing Sambhaji facing off with a lion. This moment was previously teased in the trailer too. The sequence is enhanced with CGI to strengthen Vicky Kaushal’s performance.
Vicky and the makers shared the song on Instagram and wrote, “Woh aandhi hai, jiski rag-rag mein hai Toofan. #AayaReToofan, song out now.”
The song also features Rashmika Mandanna as Maharani Yesubai, who supports her husband in his rise to power.
