Vicky Kaushal is gearing up for the release of Chhaava and started his nationwide promotions with a visit to the Shri Grishneshwar Jyotirlinga Temple in Aurangabad on Thursday morning.
The visit marks the launch of his promotional tour for Chhaava, which releases on February 14. The film, a period drama, tells the story of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, with Vicky portraying the Maratha ruler from his coronation in 1681.

Amid his visit, makers have also released the second song “Aaya Re Toofan” for the audiences. Sharing the update, Maddock Films wrote, “Woh aandhi hai, jiski rag-rag mein hai Toofan. 🔥 #AayaReToofan, song out now.”

Speaking at a recent promotional event in Jaipur, Vicky revealed the hard work that went into preparing for the role. Vicky Kaushal mentioned that making a biopic requires extensive preparation, not just from the actor, but the whole team.
He explained that working on a historical film is challenging due to the large budget and the effort needed to bring a past era to life on screen. The team aimed to make the film as realistic as possible.
He added that his preparation involved both physical and mental training, including action, bodybuilding, and historical research.
Actor Got Injured While Shooting A Brutal Torture Scene In Chhaava
Director Laxman Utekar spoke about a difficult scene in the film where Vicky got injured. The scene shows the brutal torture of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and was one of the toughest moments to shoot.
Laxman shared that Vicky had to stay tied up for an entire night during filming. When the ropes were finally removed, his hands were stiff and refused to move.
Chhaava also stars Akshaye Khanna and Rashmika Mandanna. After Chhaava, Vicky will star in Maddock’s Mahavatar, an Indian mythology-inspired film where he will play the warrior sage Parashurama. It is set for release in Christmas 2026.
