More About The Film
Directed by Shaniel Deo, Dacoit: A Love Story blends action, romance, and suspense. Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur take on the lead roles, portraying former lovers who are forced to reunite under unexpected circumstances. Their mission? A series of heists that change their lives forever.
Mrunal wasn’t the film’s first choice for the female lead. Shruti Haasan was initially cast but walked away due to creative differences. According to reports, production delays and a co-star’s excessive involvement in the script led to an uncomfortable work environment for Shruti.
A source revealed, “She was eager to explore a different side of her acting but wasn’t comfortable with the constant changes.” Following her exit, the teaser featuring Shruti was also removed from YouTube.
Shot simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi, Dacoit aims to appeal to a wide audience.
