The visit comes as Dada: The Sourav Ganguly Story gathers momentum ahead of its theatrical release on May 14, 2027. Directed by Vikramaditya Motwane and produced by Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg, the film casts Rajkummar Rao as Ganguly, placing one of Hindi cinema’s most dependable performers at the centre of one of Indian cricket’s most closely watched screen adaptations.

Rajkummar Rao is expected to arrive in Kolkata on Monday for the Mahashtami celebrations.
