Actress Sai Pallavi is preparing for her Bollywood debut in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, where she will play Sita alongside Ranbir Kapoor. However, recent rumours about her turning vegetarian for the role have caused some controversy. The actress has strongly denied these claims.
Reports earlier this week suggested that Sai Pallavi gave up non-vegetarian food to portray Sita and even travels with her own team of cooks who prepare only vegetarian meals.
Sai Pallavi Slams The Fake Reports
Sai Pallavi quickly responded on X (formerly Twitter), dismissing the rumours as false. She wrote a post expressing her frustration with the spread of fake news, especially during the promotion of her films.
“Most of the times, almost every time, I choose to stay silent whenever I see baseless rumours… but it’s high-time that I react,” she said.
She also warned of legal action against those continuing to spread false information. “Next time I see any ‘reputed’ page or media/individual carrying a cooked up crappy story in the name of news or gossip, then you will hear from me legally!” she added.
Most of the times, Almost every-time, I choose to stay silent whenever I see baseless rumours/ fabricated lies/ incorrect statements being spread with or without motives(God knows) but it’s high-time that I react as it keeps happening consistently and doesn’t seem to cease;… https://t.co/XXKcpyUbEC

Sai Pallavi has always been a vegetarian. She has spoken about her views on food and said, “If you take food, I am forever a vegetarian. I can’t see when a life dies. I can’t hurt another person and think that it is okay.” The claims that she turned vegetarian for the role of Sita are simply not true.
The Actress Recently Delivered A Hit Film Amaran
Sai Pallavi’s recent film Amaran was a box office hit. The Tamil biographical action movie, based on India’s Most Fearless: True Stories of Modern Military Heroes, has been praised for its strong performances and gripping story.
Now, she is excited for her Bollywood debut in Ramayana, which is set to release in two parts, starting in 2026. The film also stars Ranbir Kapoor, Ravi Dubey, Sunny Deol, and Kannada star Yash.
