Salman Khan starrer Sikandar might have hit the theatres with high hopes, but some of his own fans are not sugar-coating their disappointment. And leading this wave of real talk is 29-year-old Mohit Kala – a die-hard Salman fan based in Spain.
Mohit, who runs the fan page ‘SALMAN KI SENA’ on X (formerly Twitter), got to watch Sikandar even before India did. The Spanish distributors confirmed an early show on March 29 at 9:00 pm. Mohit was excited.
The trailer had him hyped, and AR Murugadoss’ track record gave him faith. But what followed wasn’t what he’d expected.

He told Bollywood Hungama, “The cinema was packed, which was rare in Málaga. There were mostly locals, not many Indians.”
Salman’s fan confessed, “The energy was high, and Salman’s entry scene got a solid reaction. But things went downhill fast. “After ‘Zohra Jabeen’, I started feeling disconnected. The second half had no screenplay. It felt flat.”
What hurt him more was the audience reaction. He added, “People started laughing during an emotional scene. That really stung. Salman has done Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Sultan—he deserves better.”
Mohit admitted he didn’t know how to tell fellow fans the truth. At first, he posted a positive review, only to delete it hours later. “I felt like I was cheating my followers. I couldn’t keep pretending,” he said.
He also brought up the point that Salman hasn’t hit the Rs 500 crore club while his peers have. “I’m not into box office numbers. I care about his legacy. My favourite is Veergati, and that’s when I became a fan.”
Mohit spoke fondly of his early cinema experiences watching Salman films like Tere Naam, and how fans once copied his hair and style. “He was a trendsetter,” the fan said.
Salman Fan Suggests He Take A Break If There’s No Good Script
He believes Salman’s core audience is now in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, but that’s not enough. “We fail to understand why Salman can’t realize (that he’s going wrong). He must take a break, like Shah Rukh Khan. SRK realized that his films were not doing well and he worked out a solution. Salman should also stop working on Bigg Boss. This show now invites random YouTubers; their names get attached to Salman and as a result, the latter gets hate. Again, it dents his stardom.”
The fan also tweeted about the gap between Salman and his audience. He claimed, “There’s a wall created by his team. They filter everything. Constructive criticism never reaches him.”
