Specifically, Disha was seen sporting a crop top and shawl during the ceremony, which has not been received positively by certain social media users. The controversy began when a fanclub posted a video of the actress, which was followed by a photo of her at the pooja ceremony donning the same top.

Some netizens on the platform slammed the Ek Villain Returns actress and stated their displeasure saying, ‘Poo bani parvati’ which was a reference made to the prominent dialogue from the film Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. “Hamari Poo kapdo mein kitni acchi lagti hai na”, was another reference remarked by one of the users from the same film.
“Usko koi sahi disha batane wala nahi hai,” commented a user whereas a sarcastic comment was added by yet another one stating, “She looks good in full clothes”. “She looks so good in ethnic wear.. she had so much potential to be a good ranked movie star but it was ruined”, commented one of them indicating to her extensive lingerie promotions for a brand.
Disha Patani has several upcoming projects in the works. She is set to star alongside Sidharth Malhotra and Raashii Khanna in the film Yodha. In addition, the actress has also signed on to some intriguing South Indian films, including Nag Ashwin’s science-fiction drama Project K, where she will appear alongside Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Amitabh Bachchan, as well as Kanguva, which features Tamil superstar Suriya.
