The production house claimed that over ₹45 crore had been spent on pre-production before Singh stepped away. Singh’s side has cited creative and production-related concerns, including issues linked to the script, scale, creative availability and remuneration. His spokesperson said the actor continues to hold “deep respect and goodwill” for everyone connected with the film. The statement added, “Throughout the recent developments surrounding Don 3, he has consciously chosen to maintain silence, believing that professional discussions and personal equations are best handled with dignity, maturity, and mutual respect,”.
Fwice Withdraws Directive Against Ranveer Singh
The industry body’s withdrawal of its non-cooperation directive has shifted the immediate temperature of the dispute. The move came after intervention from the Indian Motion Picture Producers’ Association, the Producers Guild of India and the Cine & TV Artistes’ Association.
FWICE had earlier stepped in after Excel Entertainment escalated the matter, citing losses and disruption caused by Singh’s exit. With the directive now withdrawn, the controversy has moved away from immediate professional restriction and back into the zone of settlement, accountability and future collaboration.
