Peddi Hindi Box Office: Ram Charan Starrer Heads For Disaster Opening In North India

Ram Charan’s latest big screen bet has arrived with all the packaging of a pan India spectacle, but the Hindi belt has not joined the party. Peddi, which hit cinemas today, June 4, 2026, is seeing far stronger traction in Telugu markets, while its North India start has turned into the film’s first major talking point.

For a star who broke out nationally with RRR, the Hindi response stood as a key marker. Instead, the film’s opening in the market is tracking far below the scale attached to its budget, cast and campaign.

Peddi Faces A Weak Hindi Opening

The Hindi version of Peddi is tracking to open in the range of Rs 2 crore to Rs 3 crore nett on day one. That is a soft start for a film headlined by Ram Charan and mounted as a large scale theatrical release.

Peddi is expected to register a disappointing opening in North India. Considering the film stars Superstar Ram Charan and is positioned as a ₹350 crore Pan-India spectacle, the Hindi opening ideally should have been in the vicinity of ₹20 crore nett.

The sharper concern is not just the low prediction, but the visibly weak pre release push in the Hindi belt. Advance bookings have remained poor so far, while the film’s distribution in the Hindi belt appears supremely underwhelming . A star of Ram Charan’s stature deserved a much wider and stronger release across North India.

What Peddi Brings To The Table

Peddi is a Telugu sports action drama directed by Buchi Babu Sana, who previously made Uppena. The film stars Ram Charan in the title role alongside Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Divyenndu and Boman Irani. A. R. Rahman has composed the music, while R. Rathnavelu has handled cinematography.

The film is produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under Vriddhi Cinemas and co produced by Ishan Saksena under IVY Entertainment, with Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings attached as presenters. Set against a rural sports backdrop, Peddi follows a fierce village figure whose journey is built around ambition, conflict and mass emotion.

Ram Charan’s Recent And Upcoming Work

Before Peddi, Ram Charan starred in Game Changer, which released theatrically on January 10, 2025. Directed by S. Shankar and co starring Kiara Advani, Anjali and S. J. Suryah, the political action drama later premiered on Amazon Prime Video on February 7, 2025, and underperformed commercially.

His 2022 phase remains central to his pan India image. Charan played Alluri Sitarama Raju in S. S. Rajamouli’s RRR, a global blockbuster, and also appeared in Acharya with Chiranjeevi, which failed at the box office.

As of June 4, 2026, Peddi is Ram Charan’s current theatrical release, with no future theatrical release carrying a confirmed date in verified listings.
