Ranveer Singh And Don 3 Fallout Deepens As Producers Guild Pushes For Amicable Resolution

The Don 3 storm is not settling quietly. After weeks of industry murmurs around Ranveer Singh’s exit from Farhan Akhtar’s high-profile franchise film, the Producers Guild of India is preparing to step in again, signalling that the dispute between the actor and producers Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani remains a major talking point in Bollywood’s production circles.

The latest movement comes right after the Federation of Western India Cine Employees announced at its June 3 press conference that it was withdrawing its non-cooperation directive against Singh with immediate effect. With that front cooling down, attention has shifted to the Guild’s attempt to bring the concerned parties back to the table.

Producers Guild Pushes For Dialogue In Don 3 Row

Manish Goswami, vice-president of the Producers Guild of India, confirmed that the body is expected to reconvene to address the issue. He said, “The Guild is yet to formally table the deal. From here, it can go two ways. We encourage an amicable resolution and hope the parties can resolve the matter through dialogue. But there is always the court route, if that falls through,”

The matter centres on Singh’s departure from Don 3, with Excel Entertainment citing financial loss linked to the development. The Guild’s renewed involvement also points to a wider concern within the industry about commitments, schedules and producer safeguards at a time when large-scale Hindi films are being mounted on increasingly tight timelines.

A person who worked on Don 3 also claimed that Excel Entertainment had cleared payments connected to the project. The person said, “All payments were cleared last month. To ensure there’s not another instance of loss of livelihood for technicians, we hope this incident changes things for good,”

What Don 3 Means For The Franchise

Don 3 was announced as the next chapter in the stylish action franchise that began its modern run with Don in 2006 and Don 2 in 2011. The new film was designed as a fresh action thriller chapter with Singh stepping into the title role.

Its production status is now tied to how the current disagreement moves forward, either through dialogue or through a legal process.

Ranveer Singh’s Recent And Upcoming Work

Ranveer Singh’s recent theatrical phase included Cirkus in 2022, followed by Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani in 2023 opposite Alia Bhatt. He also reprised Simmba in Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again in 2024.

In 2025, Singh headlined Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar, followed by Dhurandhar: The Revenge, which released on March 19, 2026 and is now part of his latest filmography. His confirmed upcoming slate includes King, which is listed as filming for 2026.
