Sources also suggest that Shashank Khaitan is expected to take on the director’s role for this much-awaited project. Renowned for his masterful direction in romantic hits like Dhadak, Govinda Naam Mera, and Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, Khaitan is primed to weave his magic once again in the sequel to the beloved film Dhadkan.
Dhadkan 2 To Have A Fresh Cast
Instead of treading the familiar path with seasoned stars like Shilpa Shetty, Suniel Shetty, and Akshay Kumar, the makers have opted for a fresh cast, injecting new vigour into the franchise.
Earlier, Dharmesh Darshan hinted that while the sequel may or may not directly follow the storyline of its predecessor, it will offer a contemporary perspective under his reinvented vision. According to him, Dhadkan 2 might embody an “absolutely fresh take on modern cinema by a newly reinvented Dharmesh Sheela Darshan.”
