Titled Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat, the historical period drama promised a captivating portrayal of the iconic Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, with Kumar in the lead role.

A month later, Akshay Kumar teased fans with a glimpse of his transformation into the legendary emperor, generating considerable buzz.

At the film’s launch event, it was revealed that audiences could expect its release on Diwali 2023. However, September of the following year brought reports of a postponement, casting a shadow of uncertainty over the project.

Vaseem Qureshi Reportedly Faced Budget Issues In Producing This Akshay Kumar Starrer

Recent developments suggest that Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat has hit a roadblock, with production reportedly halted due to budgetary constraints faced by producer Vaseem Qureshi.

According to a source cited by Bollywood Hungama, approximately 50% of the filming is complete, including Akshay Kumar’s brief appearance, spanning three days of shooting.

While Kumar has received a portion of his fee, the fate of the remaining shoot remains uncertain. Questions loom over whether the superstar has concluded his part or if his return to the sets hinges on the project’s revival. Attempts to reach Qureshi’s spokesperson for clarification proved futile.
