Since the release of the trailer for Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha, the film has been compared to Tom Hanks’ Forrest Gump. While some social media users believe a Forrest Gump remake is a worthwhile endeavor, others have chastised Laal Singh Chaddha for “ruining” a classic film.

Now, director Sanjay Gupta takes a dig at one of the scenes from Aamir Khan’s trailer where he is eating golgappa. The director wrote, “One reason I’m dying to see this film is who is selling Golgappas in a moving train.”

The trailer of Laal Singh Chaddha was released on the day of the IPL 2022 finale. The comedy-drama also features Kareena Kapoor, Naga Chaitanya, and Mona Singh. The film is adapted from the Hollywood movie Forrest Gump, which was released in 1994. Laal Singh Chaddha will be released in theatres on August 11, 2022.
