EXCLUSIVE: Jaideep Ahlawat Confirms Aamir Khan’s Son Junaid Making Debut In YRF’s Maharaja

Jaideep Ahlawat has also been cast in the movie.

The son of Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan, Junaid Khan, is about to enter the industry. Through YRF entertainment, Junaid, who has considerable experience working in theater and has appeared in a number of well-received plays, will make his acting debut. The production company, which has helped stars get their start including Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma, will introduce Junaid through a historical play.

The period drama from YRF, which will be helmed by Siddharth P Malhotra, has a working title of “Maharaja”.

Now, in an interview, Jaideep Ahlawat confirmed that Junaid is making his debut as a leading man in YRF’s Maharaja.

Jaideep Ahlawat has also been cast in the movie. He will take on the character of Jadunathji Brijratanji Maharaj, a religious figure accused of engaging in extramarital relationships with several of his female followers.

The upcoming movie Maharaja from YRF is based on the 1862 Maharaj Libel Case, in which the Maharaj sued journalist and reformer Karsandas Mulji for publishing a piece that questioned the principles of the Vallabhacharya Sampradaya, a Hindu sect of which the Maharaj was a member.

According to a rumor, the film’s producers are building a set in Madh Island, where Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan will portray the journalist Karsandas Mulji. By the beginning of 2021, the project’s director Siddharth P. Malhotra hopes to start shooting.
