Tejas, the upcoming film starring Kangana Ranaut as an Indian Air Force pilot, is all set to launch its trailer on 6th October in a grand event in Coimbatore. The film, directed by Sarvesh Mewara, is inspired by the landmark event of the Indian Air Force becoming the first defence force to induct women into combat roles in 2016.
The event is expected to be attended by the film’s cast and crew, including Kangana Ranaut, Anshul Chauhan, Varun Mitra, and Veenah Naair.

The trailer of Tejas is expected to showcase the thrilling and inspiring story of Tejas Gill, an air force pilot who faces various challenges and dangers in her mission to defend the nation. Kangana Ranaut had shared captivating new glimpses earlier this July from her highly anticipated movie Tejas. Alongside the stunning stills, the acclaimed actress has also revealed the official release date of the film, which is scheduled to grace the theaters on October 20. In this exciting project, Kangana portrays the role of an Air Force pilot, as evidenced by her appearance in the recently unveiled images, where she is seen donning the Air Force uniform.

Kangana Ranaut treated her fans with exclusive glimpses from her upcoming film Tejas through her Instagram posts. One of the stills showcases her stepping out of a Tejas, a versatile combat aircraft, while the other captures her in the midst of an intense action sequence with a burning jeep in the backdrop. Additionally, she took to her Instagram Stories to provide a closer look at her character’s uniform, including the garrison cap. Accompanying one of the stills, she exclaimed, “India’s first aerial action movie is here.” Furthermore, she shared a captivating image featuring multiple Tejas aircraft in the frame, adding to the intrigue surrounding the film.

Since 2020, the film Tejas has been in development but faced delays due to the impact of the global coronavirus pandemic. Acclaimed director Sarvesh Mewara helms this highly anticipated project. Kangana Ranaut, in a statement back in 2020, expressed her long-standing desire to portray a soldier on screen and her unwavering fascination with the Armed Forces since her childhood. She has been vocal about her deep admiration for the bravery and heroism of our jawans. Kangana eagerly embraces the opportunity to don the uniform, considering it one of the most significant highlights of her life, as it symbolizes her profound respect for those who ensure the security and safety of our nation and its people.
During an interview in the same year, renowned film producer Ronnie Screwvala clarified that Tejasshould not be considered a sequel to the film Uri as the latter was based on a true story, whereas Tejas is a fictional narrative. However, he emphasized that both films share similarities in terms of their grand scale and thematic approach. The comparison suggests that Tejas will capture the essence and magnitude of a military operation, akin to the acclaimed film Uri.
Tejas is scheduled to release on October 20, 2023, coinciding with Dussehra. The film will clash with two big-budget and Pan-India film, Ganapath starring Tiger Shroff and Leo starring Thalapathy Vijay, and the audience are eagerly waiting to see which film will emerge victorious at the box office.
