Salaar to release on Christmas 2023; clashing with SRK’s Dunki

Exhibitors all across the country have received an email from the film’s distributors today, confirming that the film will hit the screens on December 22, 2023. The makers are slated to make an official announcement this Friday.

The year 2023 is going to witness one of the biggest box office clashes in the history of Indian cinema on Christmas with Dunki and Salaar. Both the films are expected to create a huge buzz among the audience and they feature some of the biggest stars and directors of the industry.

However, Dunki was announced first on the date in question and also stars Shah Rukh Khan who’s coming from success of two 1000-crore films and becomes first actor to do so in the same year. His collaboration with India’s fail-proof director Rajkumar Hirani is highly anticipated. Fans are anticipating this film to break box office records set by both Khan starters Pathaan and Jawan, so it’s yet to be seen how Prabhas starrer will fare against it.

Recently Shah Rukh Khan had quashed the rumours of Dunki’s postponement at Jawan’s success press conference. King Khan said, “God has been kind to me this year – first Pathan, then Jawan! Meine kaam nahi kia 3 saal (I didn’t work for three years), I was worried about coming back, but thankfully all went well and I promise Dunki Christmas pe aaigi. Aur har movie jab meri release hoti hai uss din Eid bann hi jaati hai (Whenever my movie comes, Eid is celebrated that day)”.
