Filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan has officially confirmed her much awaited return to direction. The announcement came during her popular vlog, where Khan opened up about her plans to step back behind the camera after a 12 year break. What has fans even more excited is her hint at reuniting with superstar Shah Rukh Khan for the project.
Farah Khan Announces Return To Direction
During a visit to actor Nakuul Mehta’s Mumbai home for her vlog, Farah Khan addressed the long standing anticipation around her comeback. When asked about her filmmaking plans, she revealed that the time has finally come.
She stated, “Abhi banaungi main! Abhi bachche chaley jayenge na college fir banaungi! There is a whole petition on the internet called wapas aao Farah Khan! So I think it is time, I think end of this year I will start.”
The filmmaker also clarified that she has no plans to give up her successful YouTube channel. With her trademark wit, she mentioned that the platform helps cover her children’s expenses.
Shah Rukh Khan Collaboration Confirmed
When Nakuul jokingly asked if YouTube would fund her next film, Farah came back with a telling response. She said, “If I do, I will do it with Shah Rukh! Otherwise, I will wait and do YouTube.”
This statement has sent fans into a frenzy, as the Shah Rukh Khan and Farah Khan partnership has delivered some of Bollywood’s biggest blockbusters. The duo previously collaborated on Main Hoon Na, Om Shanti Om, and Happy New Year. Each of these films became massive commercial successes and are still beloved by audiences today.
