Farhan Akhtar is one of the most versatile personalities in Bollywood. He is a successful actor, writer, director, and singer. However, a majority of people tend to like Farhan the director more than any of his other avatars. There is a valid reason for it since he is the mind behind films like Dil Chahta Hai, Lakshya, and Don. For the past decade, however, Farhan has been focusing more on acting. But fans were delighted during the pandemic when it was announced that he will be wearing the director’s cap with Jee Le Zara, a road trip film starring Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra, and Alia Bhatt.
According to recent media reports, Farhan has delayed the film once again due to date issues. The highly anticipated film has been getting delayed ever since it was announced in 2021. Sources have confirmed that Farhan has signed a film for Aamir Khan productions which is being directed by RS Prasanna. The film is an official remake of the 2018 Spanish sports comedy-drama Campeones. It is expected to go on the floor by October.
Farhan Might Direct Don 3 After That
The source also confirmed that after finishing the film with Aamir Khan, Farhan might jump straight into directing Don 3. This is because Excel Entertainment, Zoya Akhtar, and Farhan have been struggling to get the dates of the lead actresses for Jee Le Zara. The third installment of the franchise, starring Shah Rukh Khan, is probably the most anticipated Bollywood film of the past decade. Meanwhile, there is a cloud of uncertainty looming over Jee Le Zara as the makers are planning to change the cast if things get pushed further.
