Actor Sonu Sood is experiencing a full-circle moment as his much-anticipated film Fateh gets ready for release. Starting the shoot in Amritsar last year, he has now returned to promote the film.
This is a significant milestone for Sonu, who is making his debut as a director and writer. Fateh promises to deliver an action-packed thriller, and Sonu is confident it will offer a unique cinematic experience that will keep audiences hooked.
While Sonu toured cities like Kolkata and Delhi, nothing felt as special as returning to his home state of Punjab. His fans were eager to see him, and the state welcomed him with warmth and pride.
Sonu Sood Promotes Fateh In Punjab
The promotional tour began in Amritsar, where Sonu first visited the Golden Temple to seek blessings for his directorial debut. The visit was a meaningful start to his day of promotions.
“Punjab is my homeland, and stepping into the role of a director, I knew this journey had to begin at the Golden Temple, where my film opens,” Sonu shared.
He added, “Growing up here has shaped who I am, and every return fills me with gratitude and pride. As we prepare to present our film to the audience, seeking blessings at the Golden Temple and witnessing the parade at Wagah Border have been very calming and motivating. The patriotism that this soil instils are treasures I carry with me every step of the way.”
Later, Sonu visited the Wagah Border to salute India’s soldiers. He also went to Check Post 102, a historic boundary marking India and Pakistan. The visit was symbolic of his deep connection to his roots and his country. During the event, Sonu also shared a special preview of the Fateh trailer.
Amritsar embraced Sonu with open arms, and he enjoyed some delicious Punjabi food, including kulchas from local dhabas. Everywhere he went, he was met with love and admiration, making the day even more special.
About The Film
In the film, he plays an ex-special ops officer who uses his deadly skills to dismantle a cybercrime network threatening innocent lives. The action-packed trailer also features Jacqueline Fernandez, Naseeruddin Shah, and Vijay Raaz, promising an intense and thrilling film.
Fateh, produced by Umesh KR Bansal of Zee Studios and Sonali Sood of Shakti Sagar Productions, is set to release on January 10, 2025.
