Imran Khan is busy preparing for his comeback to movies. The Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na star will return with a new film alongside Bhumi Pednekar. Danish Aslam (who directed him in Break Ke Baad) will helm the project. The shoot is set to begin in April.
Imran Khan Starrer Netflix Film Opposite Bhumi Pednekar Goes On Floors In April
Netflix is backing this film and plans to make an official announcement soon. Reports confirm that Bhumi has already joined the project, and pre-production is moving fast.
A source shared with HT, “The platform wants to make the first announcement themselves. Bhumi Pednekar is locked for the leading role with Imran. The pre-production work is on in full swing, and the cameras will roll in a month.”
Earlier, Danish Aslam also hinted at the project but remained tight-lipped about details. He told India Today Digital, “Some of it is true, some of it is not. Unfortunately, it is a project which is still a work in progress. So the moment things are locked and fall into place, we will very happily announce it to the world. But, all I can say is that I’m working with Imran Khan on something.”
Bhumi Pednekar And Imran Khan’s Work Front
Bhumi Pednekar last appeared in Mere Husband Ki Biwi, which premiered in cinemas on February 21, 2025. The film featured Arjun Kapoor, Rakul Preet Singh, Aditya Seal, Dino Morea, and Harsh Gujral. The story revolved around Arjun’s character, who found himself in a love triangle with his ex-wife, played by Bhumi, and his fiancée, played by Rakul.
Imran Khan made his Bollywood debut in Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na (2008), which became a major success. He later starred in I Hate Luv Storys, Delhi Belly, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu, and Once Upon a Time in Mumbai Dobaara! His last film, Katti Batti (2015), was his final project before he stepped away from acting.
