During his speech, Shah Rukh expressed his gratitude for the warm reception he received in Locarno, even comparing the city to his home country. “Thank you all for welcoming me with such wide arms—wider than the ones I do on screen. It’s a very beautiful, very cultural, very artistic, and extremely hot city of Locarno. So many people stuffed up in a little square and so hot. It’s just like being home in India,” he said, drawing cheers from the crowd.
SRK Also Presented His 2002 Film Devdas At The Event
In addition to receiving the career achievement award, SRK presented his 2002 film Devdas at the festival. In a special announcement, he revealed that his production company, Red Chillies Entertainment, has recently acquired the rights to Devdas. “We as a production company bought the rights of this film back, and I’m very, very proud that it belongs to our company now,” Shah Rukh shared with pride before the film’s special screening.
Looking ahead, Shah Rukh Khan shows no signs of slowing down. After the successes of Pathaan, Jawan, and Dunki, he is gearing up for his next big project, King. This upcoming film will feature his daughter, Suhana Khan, alongside Abhishek Bachchan and is directed by Sujoy Ghosh. King is set to be produced by Red Chillies Entertainment in collaboration with Siddharth Anand, promising yet another cinematic treat for SRK’s fans.
